N2  - The author reports on an analysis of road accidents in Germany between 1995 and 1999 which were generally attributable to "fog". The proportion of fog-related accidents and those injured in them was less than 1% of the whole. The proportion of those dead and seriously injured is higher than the proportion of fog-related accidents, which leads to the conclusion that the accidents which so occur are particularly serious.
