N2  - Die Bundesanstalt für Straßenwesen (BASt) führt seit 1957 Eignungsprüfungen von Fahrbahnmarkierungen durch. Diese erfolgten bis 1980 auf Prüffeldern. Vor circa 20 Jahren wurde es unter anderem aus Gründen der Verkehrssicherheit und zur Gewährleistung der Vergleichbarkeit und Reproduzierbarkeit der Prüfergebnisse notwendig, ein Laborverfahren zur Durchführung dieser Aufgabe zu entwickeln. Folge hiervon sind die seit 15 Jahren mit Hilfe der Rundlaufprüfanlage durchgeführten und inzwischen europaweit anerkannten Eignungsprüfungen von Markierungssystemen. Durch die Einführung Europäischer Normen und der Notifizierung der BASt als Prüf-, Überwachungs- und Zertifizierungsstelle im Rahmen der Bauproduktenrichtlinie wurden Änderungen beim Prüfverfahren, der angewandten Prüfmethoden und der räumlichen Gegebenheiten notwendig. Im vorliegenden Beitrag werden die technische Weiterentwicklung der Anlage und die durch äußere Umstände notwendig gewordenen Änderungen des Prüfverfahrens der Eignungsprüfung von Markierungssystemen beschrieben. Gleichzeitig werden die Daten der seit 1989 durchgeführten Eignungsprüfungen einer quantitativen Analyse unterzogen.
N2  - The German Federal Highway Research Institute (BASt) carries out type approvals of road markings since 1957. These type approvals were performed on test fields until 1980. Due to reasons of traffic safety and to assure the comparability and reproducibility of type approval results the development of laboratory proceedings for the execution of this task was needed. Therefore the BASt has developed and constructed the "Wear Simulator" (RPA) 20 years ago. Since that time the type approvals were performed and the results were accepted in Europe for over 15 years. The introduction of new European standards leads to a change of conditions and circumstances concerning the test procedures and laboratories, as the BASt is fully notified for this task from the European Commission. The technical development and the structural alteration of the laboratory is described in this article. Also a quantitative analysis of the type approval data since 1989 is described.
