This basic principle of the BMVI (Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure) requires an intact and functional infrastructure. In a context of increasing investments over the next few years, it will be relevant to develop a network related systematic procedure to be part of the structural maintenance of the federal highway network. In the planning of maintenance measures, the knowledge about the state of structural performance and its long-term development is of central importance. In the following, a method is presented which allows the mechanically and statistically reliable assessment and prognosis of structural performance of concrete pavements. In addition, the application and procedure are applied to a case study.
