N2  - Die vorliegende Studie dokumentiert, welche mineralischen Straßenbaustoffe in Deutschland in welcher Qualität lieferbar sind. Dazu wurden die Qualitätsmerkmale von Mineralstoffen erfasst und ausgewertet. Die Auswertung des Datenmaterials wurde nach gesteinsspezifischen Eigenschaften und nach Ländern getrennt vorgenommen. Berücksichtigt wurden Produkte der Jahre 1990 bis 1994 von Mineralstoffbetrieben aus den alten (1.070 Betriebe) und neuen Bundesländern (409) sowie aus Importländern (77). Die nach den Richtlinien für die Güteüberwachung von Mineralstoffen im Straßenbau fremdüberwachten Lieferbetriebe sind in der Lage, Mineralstoffe für den Straßenbau in guter Qualität entsprechend den Forderungen des Technischen Regelwerkes herzustellen. Die Anforderungen des Regelwerkes werden teilweise mühelos erreicht. Ob die Gütesicherung von Mineralstoffen effektiver gestaltet werden kann (zum Beispiel Änderung des Prüfrhythmus, Verzicht auf Prüfungen), lässt sich erst nach wiederholter Datenerfassung beurteilen. Die vorliegenden Ergebnisse sind für die Straßenverwaltungen bedeutsam bei der Abschätzung der Forderungen an die Hersteller. Auf EU-Ebene können die Ergebnisse unter anderem als Grundlage zur Beurteilung der in den EU-Papieren vorgeschlagenen Anforderungen herangezogen werden.
N2  - This study documents the mineral road materials that are available in Germany and the quality of these. For this purpose the quality characteristics of mineral materials were collected and evaluated. The evaluation of the data was carried out according to the specific properties of different rocks and separated by different countries. The study took into account material produced in the years from 1990 to 1994 by mineral material works in the former federal states (1070 works) and the new federal states (409) as well as from ones in other countries (77). The works, which are monitored externally in accordance with the guide-lines for the monitoring of quality of mineral materials used in road construction, are capable of producing mineral materials for road construction of good quality in accordance with the requirements of the relevant set of technical regulations. The requirements of the latter were achieved in part very easily. The question as to whether the assuring of the quality of mineral materials could be carried out in a more effective manner (e.g. by changing the frequency of testing, by dispensing with tests etc.) cannot be answered until data has been collected on a repeated occasion. The present results are of significance for highway authorities in relation to the decisions they take on the criteria they require the suppliers of mineral materials to fulfill. At EU level the results could be used, amongst other things, as the basis for the evaluation of the requirements proposed in the EU papers.
