N2  - Bei der Bundesanstalt für Straßenwesen (BASt) werden seit 1969 in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Bundesministerium für Verkehr, Bau- und Wohnungswesen und den Straßenbauverwaltungen der Länder aktuelle Informationen zu den Autobahnen vorgehalten und regelmäßig veröffentlicht. Dazu werden traditionell alle Knotenpunkte, Nebenanlagen und Nebenbetriebe richtungsbezogen im Streckenverlauf der Autobahnen dargestellt. Die BASt hält seit 1980 im Auftrag des BMVBW diese Informationen in einer Datenbank vor, die fortlaufend aktualisiert wird. Stichtag für den vorliegenden Bericht ist der 1. Oktober 2004. Der Bericht gibt zunächst einen überblick über die vorhandenen Informationen des Autobahnverzeichnisses. Im Anschluss daran werden statistische Auswertungen zum aktuellen Stand des Autobahnnetzes vorgelegt. Vor der Ausgabe des eigentlichen Autobahnverzeichnisses sind das Blockverzeichnis und das Verzeichnis der Autobahndienststellen ebenfalls im vorliegenden Bericht enthalten.
N2  - Since 1969, the Federal Highway Research Institute (Bundesanstalt für Straßenwesen - BASt) has been collaborating with the Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Housing (Bundesministerium für Verkehr, Bau- und Wohnungswesen - BMVBW) and the federal states - road construction authorities to record and regularly publish up-to-date information on the autobahns. Traditionally, it contains a representation of the autobahn network, complete with all junctions, secondary structures and secondary facilities, which are shown with their direction of travel. Under commission to the BMVBW the BASt has, since 1980, been recording this information in a database which is continually updated. This report refers to the database as of the 1th October 2004. The first part of the report gives an overview of the existing information in the autobahn directory. The next part presents statistical analyses of the current state of the autobahn network. This report also includes the index and the directory of autobahn agencies, before the actual autobahn directory.
